How To Lose Weight Fast: Is There A Healthy Diet plan?
To answer the question right at the beginning, yes there is. But first, we have to define “fast”. You’ve probably clicked on this article because you are still looking for a quick fix, even though you know there is none. Quick fixes never work out in the long run, they only help for a short time, but at some point you’ll realize, whatever you have achieved so far is not sustainable. This is usually the time where people give up. They will say something like “Oh, I’ve tried it so many times, I’ll never lose weight” – and they certainly won’t. So, how to lose weight fast? If you follow my healthy eating diet plan below, you will lose weight in a healthy amount of time.
Why are We Failing?
People are not willing to make sacrifices and therefore are not able to achieve a sustainable goal. Almost everything that brings you great joy in life is usually achieved by hard work and sacrifices – for instance, birth – weeks of preparation and hard work is followed by extreme pain and suffering, which is then followed by great joy. This example might be a bit extreme but this is what it takes to achieve a goal and bring life to earth.
If you’re sitting on your couch all day, wondering why life is so hard on you, think about the last time you suffered to achieve something. Think about the joy you had when you finally made it. There might even be a religious component to this. Religion teaches us to make a sacrifice in order to reach a higher goal. Unfortunately, most of us are not willing to go the extra mile. That’s why we are failing and the reason why people search for “how to lose weight fast” “I need to lose weight fast” etc.
How to achieve your goal of losing weight
So far we’ve come to the conclusion that no matter what, you have to work hard and make sacrifices. But how do you start? Think of all the things you’ve always wanted to change. Then pick one and set an achievable goal for yourself. For example, “I’d like to lose 10kg (22 pounds) within a year”. Great, now we need to think about the easiest way for you to achieve that – this is important because once you’ve started, you are more likely to do the hard work as well. This could be, going for a walk 3 times a week or cut soda pops from your diet. Once you’ve achieved a little mile stone you can head on to the bigger one.
Change Your Diet To Lose Weight
I hate to say it and I know you are probably sick and tired to hear year it – but you have to change your diet at some point. Working out works great at the beginning but you’ll soon see that it makes you more hungry than ever before. That’s because your body noticed that it needs more calories to burn for your work out, and it doesn’t want to use your body fat for it.
You need to change your diet in order to get your body to burn fat. This can take up to 1 year and people are usually shocked when they hear it. We are not designed to lose weight, we are designed to store it.
Healthy Eating Diet Plan – What Should I Eat?
Actually a lot! Don’t do the same mistake I did when I changed my diet. DO NOT CUT calories. Your body will bring itself into emergency mode and store even more fat. Here is what you need to do. Replace the food you ate with healthy food without cutting down the calorie intake. For example, if you used to eat french fries with salad for lunch, replace it with baked potatoes (no fat) and salad. You can still put some olive oil in your salad but try to keep fat as low as possible. Everything I say here is backed by science and it took me years to figure out. Here is a list of everything you need to know.
- Eat healthy starches like beans, potatoes, rice and whole-grain pasta.
- 60mg of fat is more than enough for an adult
- Eat broccoli and sweet potatoes daily
- Onions and apples are healthy and help you lose weight, so eat them daily
- Don’t starve – your body will get into a “fat storing” emergency mode
- Work out at least twice a week
- Drink water and (unsweetened) tea
- No sugar!
- Cook and eat fresh
Don’t try to change yourself all by once. Do it step-by-step. If you see a great challenge ahead of you, break it down into many small steps (goals). You’ll see that it’s way easier to achieve those small goals.
